LTC100 Serial Converter

We are pleased to announce the release of a new "Serial Converter" product, LTC100 that converts RS232 serial signals to RS422 or 485 and vice-versa.  The LTC100 is an ideal solution to apply advantages of RS422/RS485 to legacy RS232 devices.  With no software installation required, the LTC100 incorporates DIP switch for RS422/RS485 model selection.  Further, the LTC100 can operate with or without external power supply.

The LTC100 serial converter is designed for long-range communication. The transmit distance extends up to 1.2 KM (0.74 miles) at speeds up to 921.6Kbps.  Multi-drop function enables to connect 10 devices in RS422 mode, and bus scheme enables to connect 32 devices in RS485 mode. Further, the new comer is fully compatible with serial COM port in PC.

The LTC100 serial converter is also equipped with 15 KV ESD Built-in surge protection to safeguard the device from electrostatic discharge, which could interrupt the system operation.
