ZigBee™ CF node for PDA or Laptop

Telegesis has combined the ETRX2 Module with past development work on our Active Tag CF format BaseStation to provide a portable handheld unit able to communicate with other ETRX modules in the field.

Telegesis has developed a node which can be used in a PDA with a CF slot or in a Laptop computer with a PCMCIA/CF adaptor. The CF Card is in essence a fully featured and functioning ETRX2 module and therefore all the usual Telegesis AT-style commands are available via a virtual com port.

Windows software

When installed in the PCMCIA slot of a laptop, the Telegesis Terminal software will perform in exactly the same way as with the ETRX2DV Development Board.

Pocket PC software

At present, Telegesis will only provide drivers and support for Pocket PC. The simple Terminal application program will be available in Q1 2006 as a helpful starting point for developers.
