VEmesh D2D Bridge

Description

A VEmesh wireless network comprises of one VEmesh Gateway and a number of Nodes.  The mesh network is formed by the Gateway VEmesh D2D Bridge and the Nodes of a VEmesh D2D (Wireless Extension to DALI) Network.

On the DALI side, each VEmesh Bridge connects to up to 8 standard DALI devices or sensors. It does so without requiring any DALI address of its own.

The Bridge actually forms a DALI loop, with no power supply required. Through this connection, the Bridge receives all DALI signals from the DALI devices that it is connected (such as LED drivers replies and input devices’ events), and forwards them to the VEmesh wireless network. In the opposite direction, the VEmesh Bridge receives the DALI Master commands by wireless and forwards them on its DALI loop to the devices that it is connected to.

In addition to standard DALI devices, the D2D Bridges can connect to switches, presence detectors and sensors for DALI and various extensions to DALI, such as from Helvar.

Standard D2D Bridges’ require 110-220VAC for power; a 12VDC model is available to fit devices that can supply 12VDC auxiliary power output, such as for Retail lighting control. VEmesh D2D Bridge has a plastic case and its dimensions are 149.5mm x 40mm x 28.1mm (5.89” x 1.57” x 1.1”).
